Sheila McDonald is a Scottish jeweller and silversmith based at Beaverhall Studios in Edinburgh.

A graduate of Glasgow School of Art, where she gained a First Class Honours degree in Silversmithing and Jewellery Design, Sheila went on to complete an MA in Jewellery Design at the Royal College of Art in London.

Working primarily in silver, gold and vitreous enamel, her practice combines traditional silversmithing and jewellery techniques with a strong interest in colour and drawing. Her contemporary pieces are rooted in skilled craftsmanship while bringing her own distinctive approach to enamel and making.

Sheila is a Freeman of the Goldsmiths’ Company and teaches short courses at West Dean College. Alongside her studio practice, she offers enamel workshops for both complete beginners and those with previous experience.
